Product Introduction

The Unestech ST9518 is a Ruggedized Eight Bay Removable M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure specially designed to fit into a 5.25" optical drive bay. It is made out of metal construction and uses removable M.2 SSD trays that support tool-less drive installation/removal for effortless drive maintenance.

The ST9518 enclosure fits a single 5.25" optical drive bay of the computer system, supporting up to eight PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 drives. Suitable for data-intensive systems with limited storage space, such as High-performance PCs, Servers, Workstation PCs, and Data Centers.

PCIe 4.0 Performance

ST9518 mobile rack supports PCIe 4.0 64Gb/s data transfer rates through 8 x SlimSAS 4i (SFF-8654) connectors, which is two times faster than PCIe 3.0 and 10 times faster than SATA standards.

Using removable M.2 SSD trays for tool-less drive installation/removal. Supports 8 x PCIe M.2 NVMe SSDs of all lengths - 30mm (2230), 42mm (2242), 60mm (2260), 80mm (2280), and 110mm (22110)

Cooling System

ST9518 Enclosure is equipped with dual 40x20mm cooling fans in the rear, providing a massive amount of airflow throughout the entire enclosure to keep the M.2 NVMe solid-state drive at optimal operating temperatures.

M.2 drive tray is made of aluminum and acts as a heatsink to dissipate heat generated by the M.2 NVMe SSD.The included thermal pad fills the gap between the contact surface and transfers heat away from M.2 NVMe SSD.
